Dr Gerard Kilian
Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. Gerard Kilian is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon based in Noosa, Australia, with over 25 years of specialized experience in hip, knee, and shoulder surgery. He graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa and completed his orthopaedic training at the University of Cape Town. Dr. Kilian worked in the NHS for 15 years in Scotland, where he performed a high volume of joint replacements, pursued his interest in improving patient care and medical excellence, and worked as an associate medical director and advisor to the Scottish government. In Australia, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and set up the present telehealth service, received a state award, and became a certified independent medical examiner. Dr. Kilian is passionate about refining and optimizing surgical outcomes in patients undergoing joint replacements, using new techniques such as tissue-sparing anterior hip surgical approach, bone preservation surgery, and technology such as computer navigation to improve outcomes. He provides trauma services out of Noosa Hospital for appropriate patients, regularly travels to meet and operate with leading surgeons, and also undertakes endoscopic carpal tunnel releases and minimally invasive bunion surgery.

Leanne Kilian is the practice manager, and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice. With her extensive experience in healthcare administration, Leanne plays a vital role in ensuring that our practice runs smoothly and efficiently, and that our patients receive the highest level of care possible. She works closely with our medical team to coordinate patient care, manage staff schedules, and maintain the overall quality of our services. Leanne is dedicated to providing our patients with a welcoming and supportive environment, and is always available to answer any questions or concerns they may have.

Receptionist
Karen
Karen is the friendly face that patients are greeted with when they arrive at the clinical practice. As the receptionist, Karen plays a crucial role in ensuring that the practice runs smoothly and efficiently. She is responsible for answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and maintaining patient records. With her warm demeanor and excellent communication skills, Karen is an essential part of the clinical practice team and is always happy to assist patients with any questions or concerns they may have.
